Trash barrier
- How it works
- A line of floats is anchored across the river at an angle. A skirt hanging below them stops floating plastic, and the current pushes it along the barrier into a mesh cage, while water and fish pass underneath.
- Impact
- It catches trash day and night, long after volunteers go home, so plastic stops at the barrier instead of travelling on to the sea.
- Investing
- Your support buys the floats, skirt, anchors and cage, and pays to repair them after floods.
